Glenville State College is aiming to tackle the need for qualified health sciences professionals in the Mountain State with a number of ongoing and planned programs.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in healthcare related occupations are projected to grow 15% from 2019 to 2029. That rate is much faster than the overall average for all occupations, catapulting healthcare occupation job projections to be adding more jobs than any other occupational group.
Compounding that, recent surveys have suggested that healthcare staffing has been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
