Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) and Regis College have formed a new partnership that will allow Eastern Nazarene students to complete their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in health services disciplines at the other institution.
Under the agreement, a total of five bachelor’s and master’s programs were established that students can participate in – one accelerated 16-month program for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Health Administration, a Master of Science in Regulatory and Clinical Research Management and an online Master of Public Health program, according to an ENC release.
A majority of the programs were created for Eastern Nazarene students to enroll in graduate level courses at Regis while they are completing their undergraduate studies.
“Eastern Nazarene and Regis have similar missions, each committed to providing students with strong academic preparation while challenging them to be servant leaders in their communities,” said Eastern Nazarene president Dr. Jack Connell. “We are very pleased to expand our student offerings by partnering with Regis on a bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s level health related programs.”
“Partnerships are key to the future of higher education,” said Dr. Malcolm Asadoorian, vice president of academic affairs at Regis. “Regis is proud to begin a partnership with Eastern Nazarene to allow students to continue their education in health services fields at the graduate level and work towards achieving their career goals.”
In addition, the partnership will allow Eastern Nazarene faculty and staff with the opportunity to continue their own education at a 0 percent discount on Regis’ doctoral program in Higher Education Leadership. The goal of the Regis Ed.D. program is to educate current leaders who understand the constantly-changing higher education atmosphere.
According to school officials, those who choose to participate in the Ed.D. program will be challenged to become knowledgeable decision-makers, which will help them be more capable of contributing to the growth of scholarship, learning, practice and service in higher education.
