Florida State Alumna Named Director of University Health Services

Florida State University (FSU) has named Dr. Amy B. Magnuson, a three-time alumna of the institution, as its next director of University Health Sciences (UHS), effective immediately.

Prior to this appointment, Magnuson has served as interim director of the UHS since May 2017 and has been a part of the FSU faculty for 20 years. Before working as interim director, she was director of the university’s Center for Health Advocacy and Wellness at the Health and Wellness Center for 13 years.

“My time as interim director of University Health Services has been the most rewarding and challenging of my 20 years at FSU,” Magnuson said in the appointment announcement. “I was honored to accept the interim position and provide oversight and direction for the health center. As director, I will continue to advocate for a healthier campus community and ensure that FSU students’ well-being is at the center of every decision.”
