There are a number of reasons that Program Coordinator Robin Hill believes the Practical Nursing Program at Hagerstown Community College is consistently ranked top in the state.
One is the material used to teach and test students gets them ready for the format of the NCLEX-PN exam required to become a licensed practical nurse, or LPN. At least once a semester, tests are administered online, like the NCLEX-PN exam is, which Hill said was vastly different from using pencil and paper.
