Duke University Health System appears to be expanding further into the Triad.
The health system recently acquired $3.1 million worth of property in Alamance County, buying 10 lots on Gregory Poole Lane in Mebane. Duke Health bought the property from Gregory Poole Equipment Company, a Raleigh company that is the exclusive Cat construction equipment dealer for eastern North Carolina.
A spokesperson for Duke Health said that the land acquisition is for a potential office building, and it is in the early planning stages.
